The winners and some Christmas sewing

And the winner of the Colette Pattern is;

Marie!
and Simplicity 6350 is;

Doobee64!

Congrats!

So while Spolight has their 50% off christmas fabric I couldn't resist and got some fabric for the kids.
I made my son a pair of boxer shorts out of my trusty pattern Simplicity 9958 and some 1950's repro cotton fabric

and my daughter a simple circle skirt. This fabric came in panels to make a tree skirt (?), but was perfect to make a skirt. I used 2 panels to make a full circle and 3" elastic for the waistband.

Plus i thought this fabric was just gorgeous so made the daughter a simple pillowcase

  1. fab!! I especially like the pillowcase fabric, goes really nicely with the beautiful quilt you made. Your kids must be loving your sewing :D I wish we had better fabric stores here in the U.K, we don't have big stores like Spotlight or Joannes.

  2. Oh thankyou, Suzy, for the pattern...my first ever win in Bloggerland!!! I certainly am looking forward to trying out the dress.
    Your Spotlight must be wayyyyy better than the one I pop into. The 50% sale was whittled down to about 5 sad bolts of Xmas fabric in very unattractive prints.
    My son loves the boxer's I whip him up - even at 15!!! So you will be on a permanent winner with those.

  3. Oh, I am so excited!

    I love the christmas clothes you have made. My kids have one store bought shirt each at the moment, I am so slack at the moment.
